Franklin Properties
Cookie and Storage Notice
This Notice explains the cookies, local storage, session storage, analytics, and similar technologies used by the Franklin Properties website.
Effective date:
1. What these technologies are
Cookies are small values stored by a browser and sent with later requests. Local storage remains in a browser until removed or expired by application logic, while session storage generally lasts for the browser tab or session.
Some website features also send requests to service providers without setting a cookie. We include those technologies here so you can understand site tracking and data flows in one place.
2. Necessary and optional categories
Necessary storage supports legal choices, security, authentication, sessions, requested chat features, and basic operation. It is used when required for the feature you request and cannot always be disabled through site settings.
Optional analytics and performance measurement are off by default and load only after you choose to allow analytics. Refusing or withdrawing analytics does not prevent general use of the website.
3. Cookie and technology inventory
Names and periods can change when a provider updates its service. The table describes the current application behavior and known retention.
| Technology or provider | Category and purpose | When used | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| fp_legal_consent | Franklin Properties necessary signed cookie that records Terms acceptance and analytics preference. | After a visitor saves a legal or privacy choice. | Up to one year; a policy version change, clearing site data, or expiration requires a new choice. |
| fp_sid | Franklin Properties necessary session cookie used to continue chat or tool sessions. | When a chat or related tool session is used. | Session identifier subject to the chat session lifecycle; clearing cookies removes the browser copy. |
| Supabase and admin authentication cookies | Necessary authentication, security, and session storage for authorized admin users and compatible sign-in flows. | Only when an authentication flow is used. | Session or provider-configured expiration; signing out or clearing cookies may remove them. |
| dismissed_alerts | Franklin Properties session storage remembering which site alerts were dismissed. | After a visitor dismisses an alert. | Current browser tab or session. |
| franklin:chat:resume:v1 | Franklin Properties local storage preserving a recent visual chat transcript so the interface can resume after closing. | When the chat interface is used. | Removed by application lifecycle controls or when browser site data is cleared. |
| Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights | Optional cookieless page-view and performance telemetry. Vercel may process request, device, page, and performance data and derive privacy-preserving identifiers. | Only after optional analytics permission. | According to Vercel's service configuration and retention practices; no Franklin analytics cookie is set. |
| Mapbox | Third-party map tiles, style, and geocoding requests; Mapbox may receive IP address, device/request data, and map interactions. | When a page with an enabled map or geocoding feature loads. | According to Mapbox's own terms and retention practices; not necessarily a Franklin cookie. |
| AppFolio and other external destinations | External application, payment, tenant, listing, or social services may use their own cookies and storage. | After following a link or using an embedded/external provider feature. | Controlled by the third party's notice and settings. |
4. Manage your choices
Use Privacy choices in the footer to allow or withdraw optional analytics. Withdrawing analytics stops those optional components from rendering on later website views; it does not remove necessary authentication or session cookies.
A recognized Global Privacy Control signal keeps optional analytics disabled. If you clear site data or use another browser or device, you may need to save your choice again.
5. Browser controls
Most browsers let you inspect, block, or delete cookies and site storage. Blocking all storage can prevent legal-choice persistence, admin sign-in, chat continuity, alert dismissal, or other requested functions.
Browser controls do not necessarily stop network requests that are essential to deliver a page, map, image, or external service.
6. Third-party services
Third-party providers control their own cookies, logs, retention, and opt-out tools. Review the notice of a provider such as Vercel, Mapbox, AppFolio, Microsoft, Supabase, OpenAI, or Upstash when you use a feature involving that provider.
7. Changes to this Notice
We may update this inventory when technologies or purposes change. We will post the revised date and request a new choice when a policy or consent version requires it.
